In this role you will
- Lead and mentor a team of backend engineers.
- Set clear goals, drive execution, and ensure engineering excellence.
- Support the growth of team members through feedback, coaching, and development plans.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams (Product, Analytics, Operations).
- Foster a culture of efficiency, innovation, and knowledge sharing.
- Continuously improve development processes in line with industry best practices.
- Actively engage in hands-on work on key backend services, and contribute to their ongoing quality and functionality.
- Propose and drive initiatives that strengthen backend and company-wide technology.
What we’re looking for
- Strong technical background in backend engineering.
- Motivation to further grow and develop existing managerial and leadership skills.
- Excellent communication, problem solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to balance hands-on contribution with people management.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with fluency in the English language (both written and spoken).
Your experience
- 5+ years of experience as a backend software engineer.
- Experience as a team lead, tech lead, or manager.
- Track record of successfully delivering backend or cloud projects.
- Experience in mentoring, coaching, or team leadership.
- Familiarity with Java, Kubernetes, Google Cloud, or Big Data technologies (e.g., BigQuery) is an advantage.
