In this role you will
- Work with various teams to understand their needs and provide simple, effective solutions.
- Build small-scale data pipelines that process billions of events daily using data processing frameworks like dbt and BigQuery.
- Create solutions that are user-friendly and practical, not just technically impressive.
- Optimize data processing workflows to improve efficiency and performance.
- Connect with various teams, understand their processes, and help to improve those processes.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to peers and junior team members.
- Perform thorough data cleaning and validation, ensuring all edge cases are covered.
- Use Shiny and R to create interactive dashboards that clearly show key data insights and that can be used across the company.
What we’re looking for
- Experience and knowledge of how different teams use data.
- Ability to challenge peers and articulate ideas effectively.
- Proficiency in R and Shiny for building dashboards.
- Solid coding capabilities in R and SQL.
- Good understanding of software design principles, patterns, algorithms, and data structures.
- Attention to detail and a QA mindset; always testing and validating data.
- Ability to connect with people and understand their needs.
- Strong communication skills, with fluency in the English language (both written and spoken).
Your experience
- Experience with data instrumentation and data collection, as well as the use of toolsfor analyzing data (e.g. R).
- 3+ years of experience in the data engineering field.

Compensation
Compensation will be constructed of a salary and an option to receive performance bonuses.
