We believe that every child deserves to have fun and to have a carefree childhood, so creating these memorable experiences for them will hopefully help with that at least a little bit. For the past two years, our employees have given their time, creativity, and hard work to making these donations a little more special and we didn't want this year to be any different.
Back for a second time in three years, and in record numbers this time, over 100 of us volunteered to join forces with Mladinsko Letovišče Debeli Rtič, a youth center in Slovenia. Every year, the center does amazing work – providing thousands of children in need with a safe place to play – and we were thrilled to be able to help.
As part of our ongoing Giving Back activation, we continued on the work that was started back in 2021, where we helped create a special Talking Tom & Friends playground. Our biggest project yet, we worked to expand the park by building various activity paths, such as "The Path of Friendship" & "The Spring Station.
We also built a tactile musical wall, made up of various musical objects. sanded-down and re-painted benches and deckchairs, and more on-site work to refurbish station signages around the park.
Run by Red Cross Slovenia, the Youth and Health Resort, Debeli rtič, is a health center for children, youth, families, and seniors. With a unique location, beneficial microclimate, and adequate modern medical, therapeutic, and sports facilities, it has been successfully contributing to the cure and prevention of health conditions of children and youth in the past few years.
We continue to be amazed by the selflessness and willingness to lend a helping hand from all of our volunteers, year after year. It’s important to us to help our communities whenever we can, and we are honored to be able to do so in a way that will impact countless lives.
