At Outfit7, we’ve spent over 15 years building games that resonate with players around the world. Our guiding principle has always been simple: create memorable experiences that look, feel, and play great. But with Talking Tom & Friends: World, we set out to do something we’ve never done before: create a game designed entirely for children.
That meant going beyond fun. It meant designing an experience rooted in how kids naturally play, think, and explore. From the very beginning, we knew this had to be more than just another game. We wanted to build a digital playground where kids aren’t following instructions, they’re leading the way.
Instead of levels to complete or objectives to check off, kids are given an open-ended world they can shape however they like. They can decorate spaces, dress up characters, explore different scenes, and create their own stories. With no pressure, no ads, and no set path, the result is a flexible, immersive experience that invites creativity, supports imagination, and gives kids the freedom to play on their own terms.
“We didn’t want to guide kids through a fixed path,” says Viktorija Karapeovska, Product Manager at Outfit7 (Ekipa2 subsidiary). “We wanted to give them the freedom to experiment, explore, and discover, just like they do in real life. When you remove limits, kids show you just how imaginative they really are.”
To support that vision, we collaborated with child development experts. Their insights, combined with our understanding of how children engage with the world, informed every aspect of the game, from gameplay and visual design to interaction patterns. This collaboration helped us ensure the experience is age-appropriate and intuitive. Consistent with Outfit7's long-standing commitment to privacy and safety, we partner with PRIVO, an independent, third-party organization. The app is certified compliant with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act by PRIVO’s FTC approved safe harbor and has also been awarded its GDPRkids™ Privacy Assured Shield.
“As parents, we often focus on teaching children traditional subjects such as math, reading, geography, history,” Viktorija adds. “But we sometimes overlook the importance of real-world experiences and everyday learning, which are just as essential. Kids are constantly encountering the world for the very first time, and in Talking Tom & Friends: World, our goal is to give them a safe, engaging space to explore how things work in a fun and relatable way.”
Talking Tom & Friends: World isn’t just our first kids game, it’s a reflection of what we believe great children’s content should be: designed for positive play, open-ended, and built with purpose. It marks a new step for Outfit7, and we made it count, not by adding more, but by removing the limits.
